I don't know why people say to resize it to 512x512, the image looks like crap if you do it at that low of a resolution, and the white square you're cropping initially needs to be cropped nearly perfectly if you want your players to line up correctly. Quote: When you crop inside your white box, just crop the white square out, don't worry about any certain sized crop at this point or any kind of resolution. All you need to do, once you have cropped inside your white box, is resize ONE of the sides to 1024, 768, or 512 and this will get you an exact position for the player and everything lines up. Done. Do the rest of the steps in the tut. When people say to crop it to 512x512, I have no idea how your going to get it perfectly square, unless you know the exact center of your image after you cropped it. When you resize the second side to whatever, being 512, your actually cutting your image off, so now the minimap has to center your image with some of it missing, no way will it ever line up now. The White Square is not exactly square, which is the start of all problems.
