Im making this map for doom and im not even sure if ill be able to host it in multiplayer. Is hosting free? I can get my map in the multiplayer options and load it but are ppl going to join? And another thing i dont now if its just me but in the server list, thers full games and empty games and games with room for more ppl and when i join a game it says server is full or server is somthen and i can hardly join any games even if there not full. Its always giving me a reason that i cant join. its like i have to keep on trying differnt servers to get in one and when i finally do get in one thers noone in it even Know it says thers 3 ppl in it. So it seems like the server list isnt accurate. I refresh the list, i updated the game and its still all half assed gay ness. I wish it would just work with me its confusing. I want to be able to play my custom map with other ppl in it. Is there an update that i need for the game? I clicked update in the game and it says doom is fully updated no update needed. Plz reply FOYLMAN yur smart help me out.

I haven't tried to play online since my internet connection is a piece of crap. But I think the servers can only have 4 peeps on at one time. Some maybe running some kind of mod which you don't have, some may be set as to not allow a person to join unless their ping is at a certain point. Could be a number of things.

ya but can u host yur game for free?

yes.. you can host (serve) your files for free ... but know that the person joining has to have your map. They have to download and install it to play it.

All you do is start an internet server through the game. If you make a dedicated server, that means the game will start without you being in it. That way people can join your server without you having to be there.

about that 3 and 4 player stuff... I know what you mean. It's stupid. It's tough to find a server to play on becase there are only 4 people allowed in most of them. Others, even though they say 3 people report as full. I don't know the exact reason for this but I can tell you that you are not alone in this.
