Also, I'm running the batch file from my...

C:\games\Call of Duty\uo\maps\mp

Same directory where the sample mp_foy map is located.

In your case, you probably have "Program Files" instead of the "games" directory.

this is the compile code i was running from program files/call of duty/uo/maps/mp

q3map -game uo -samplesize 32 ../../uo/maps/mp/compile_test

q3map -vis -fast -game uo ../../uo/maps/mp/compile_test
pause
flare -game callof~1 -extra -sundiffusesamples 3 ../../uo/maps/mp/compile_test

After compiling the map and then running CODUO multiplayer, when i bring down the console and enter "map yourmap" i get an error of "Map with no shaders." Any suggestions?

to clarify: after several tries i simply drew a box added a brush for the ground and a spawn point and dubbed the cube yourmap to simplify things. My bat file is set to follow stryders last example. i'm running the .bat in the Call of Duty directory, not the game directory created in the tutorials, although i did copy and paste it. (i.e. - the same folder as mp_foy example)

for further clarification: does this mean i have an error in my .bat file (or anyother stage of my compile?) this isn't a mapping question, im asking if there is still some kind of "hidden" compile error?

Put /uo at the end of callof~1

like this...

flare -game callof~1/uo -sundiffusesamples 3 ../../uo/maps/mp/mp_thehill
