How do I connect these on cod4, I read wiki and it said "W" like cod2, but I am pressing ctrl on them and its not selecting them[machine_gun]

You have to draw a box around the vertices to select them, obviously if you want to select a second one hold ctrl whilst drawing the box, once they're selected w will connect them.

Also thing to take note of if you want to move vertices you need to hold alt when you do so

Get your terrain and press v so you can see the vertices.

Then select them with the blue selection thingy (yeah, good language) and press W to weld them together. Make sure that you are definatly selecting them. They should turn blue once you have them selected.

On cod2 you could just press v then ctrl left click on the 2 vert's you wanted to wield.
