i followed the beginers tutorial on how to make a map and run it,

i did everything,

i compiled BSP
compiled reflections
built a fast file
and when i try to update zone file it says

cannot find C:\program files\activision\Call of Duty 4 - Moderen Warfare\main\missingasset.csv Try building the level fast file again.
it's possible that the zone file is up to date.

iv re built the fast file 20 times lol.

help me

Have you made a .gsc file for your map? Just a guess.

The tutorial didint say anything about that lol.

How do i do that? and do i have to code it?

Switch to enable developer when run the map first, after that update your zone - must work.

Would you happen to know why my COD 4 dosent run when i click run selected map,
it says Please insert the correct DVD-ROM click ok and restart the application, even though the COD 4 disk is in.

Im not sure how to do that, my first day with the COD 4 tools..im new.

Well. The gsc file is need to launch the map. Look here:

Okay, so i just put this text in to notepad and save it sa my map name.csv

ignore code_post_gfx_mp
ignore common_mp
ignore localized_code_post_gfx_mp
ignore localized_common_mp
ui_map maps/mp_mymapname.csz

and i save it in my cod 4 folder under Main?

because thats where it said it couldin't locate the file when i tried to update zone file.
