Greets All,

I've been racking my brains on this one and can't really figure it out. Any Ideas?? I'm only posting a few lines of the 100 or so lines in my error log. Its pretty much the same thing slightly different numbers.

"D:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\map_source\mp_grr2b.map" 0 329 904.25 -633 439 0 -0 -1 "Texture repeats too many times."
"D:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\map_source\mp_grr2b.map" 0 329 904.25 -633 327 -0 0 1 "Texture repeats too many times."
"D:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\map_source\mp_grr2b.map" 0 329 904.25 -593 383 0 -1 -0 "Texture repeats too many times."
"D:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\map_source\mp_grr2b.map" 0 329 904.25 -673 383 0 1 0 "Texture repeats too many times."

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Same errors here....

Many lines like this when compiling bsp...

And textures change in-game... Some objects do not appear too...

Thanks for the answer ^_^

Just a guess but have you stretched a texture too much??

Usually get in on wires and stuff (usually really thin and long), I solved mine by using 'fit' texture which for wires doesn't matter because it's just black wiring.

All you need to know to fix it is within the error.

"D:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\map_source\mp_grr2b.map" 0 329 904.25 -633 439 0 -0 -1 "Texture repeats too many times."

The numbers in the error tell you where the face of the brush is that the texture is repeating on.

0 329 904.25 -633 439
0 = Entity - You can ignore this.
329 = Brush number
904.25 = Point on the X Axis that the error is located. You can round it to 904.
-633 = Point on the Y Axis.
439 = Point on the Z Axis.

There might be an easier way to find the repeating textures, but this is the best way I know how to do it:
Go into the Top (XY) View in the 2D window. Move your mouse around in the 2D view until you find the X and Y values (904, -633). They show up on the bottom of Radiant. Once you find them, create a small brush to mark the spot incase you lose it somehow. Next Control+Tab into Front or Side view and find the Z Axis point like you found the other two. Once you find it, locate that spot in your 3D window and look at all surrounding surfaces. Especially look at the small surfaces, like ghiest said.

In my case, the edges of sheet of plywood in my map had textures on them that were vertically stretched to something like 0.0000934534. That's pretty small and I can see why I was getting the error. I don't know how it did it. I can remember getting my feet wet in mapping with SOF2 and rotating or duplicating brushes only to have the textures go crazy on them.

Hope this helps. Sorry if I insult your intelligence with my simplified explanations. I don't know how comfortable you are with Radiant and mapping.
