the only error i get now is :(material ' mtl_bodies_arab_regular' has zero lengh )

when building fast file got no error's in game but i can't get rit of it, any suggestions?

ok simply put.. have you actualy ceated a .csv file for the map and if you have, have you put it into the correct folder.

if you have answered NO to any of the two above then go back 1 page on the forum and read the sulotion.

if you answered yes to both then probaly your file structure is wrong or your .csv file is wrong.

lets see what you reply befor we go any further.

When i try to build the fastfile it makes all sorts of maps, Call, of,Duty, 4, Warfar and - it seems there's something wrong with how my cod4modtools work whut can i do? reinstall the game and reinstall the modtools or whut? Please help!

aslong as you save the actual map/s that you are makng out of the cod4 folder IE make a folder on your desktop and move your map/s theer then uninstall and re install everything wont be an issue as you wont lose any of your work when you reinstal cod +radiant just COPY the maps back to where they aoriganaly were and setup your r5adiant again then continue building

I reinstalled everything but now i can't even get my custom map to run except for the 1 i made b4 the reinstall....

I've been trying to do some mapping also, but I can't seem to compile the fast file. I get this error

Yeah, the language is Dutch. It basically says:

A subfolder called C:/Program aleady exists.
Error: Cannot create file or folder C:/Program
Error: etc etc

Problem is that the compiler acts as if every space cuts the name in half. After running this I have a folder called C:/Program with alot of folders in it. They're called:
Call
Of
Duty
4
-
Modern
Warfare

EDIT: I've renamed the folder to COD4CLEAN, and now it works almost. It now makes a folder called Program on C:/ and creates a folder called Files, in there is Activision, in there is COD4CLEAN, in there is zone, and in there is mp_medievalCastle_test, which is empty. So you see, it does nothing except for creating a few folders, while it should be creating a .ff file.

Besides, my language is English, I installed COD as English and in my zone map is folder called english, so why it says that I don't have my language set to english, I don't know.

Does anyone know how to fix any of those 2 problems?

I use Vista, is that the problem?

It's not vista i had the same problem once on my XP machine
I got like the same error.

I think it has something to do with the way you unpack the modtool program itself.
I once found a video on youtube , wich I lost later on, stating that you need to make a couple of extra folders and copy folder in those after installing the modtools, but somehow I can't seem to find that video anymore.

Somehow i also think it has something to do where u download the tools and the update screws something around...

I think I am going to move the whole folder to C:/. I hope it works then.
