Hey guys, thought it would be a nice idea to get a little list together from the community to see what you all think of the new editor..

Pro's
= New lighting engine to show real actual shadows in editor
= All-in-one compiler (everything in a neat little package)
= Model preview screen a nice idea.

Cons
= Little buggy on vista
= Dissapointed with the preview model function (thought ide actually see the path an actor would take)
= Vertex minipulation seems a little worse than before
= Nothing 'completly' new, was expecting something not seen before (apart from lighting)
= Nearly got kicked out the house by the misses from wasting all day playing with 'the new toy'.

Pro's
= Nothing 'completely' new, it's easier like this
= It'll be easier in the long run to compile maps, once you've started
= Buggy stuff taken out (CSG subtract) and handy stuff put in it's place (auto-caulk)
= Easy texture sorting system, as of Cod2 Rad
= Physics ents

Cons
= No zoom-to-mouse pointer, I really enjoyed that in UO Radiant
= Not as wide a range of textures as vCod and UO had IMO, this is just the game though
= No-one quite knows what's going on yet
= The difference between MP and SP maps is, so far, the name of the map and the 'connect paths' button
= 'Save as prefab'? Edit: save selection as .map does it
= Still a few bugs

My pros are pretty similar to Dobbys, I too skipped over cod2 mapping so some of those features are quite useful and there's the odd handy shortcut

Cons so far:
Poorer selection of textures as I was discussing with dobby lol
The way it crashes so easily
The fact is appears we have to call our maps "mp_..." I know it makes sense but I never liked adding _mp to my maps lol
The much more complex compiling method, its nice the tools are all in one place but I much prefer the pk3 system, you could add to it as you wish with winrar
Various bugs
The loading times, it can take quite a while to load a complex map
The thing it does when it loads up, I guess its something to do with the dynamic preview but I prefer it to load up in one nice motion lol
