That won't be help you.
CoD4 can't use Maya models directly. With the tools you'll get plugins for Maya which are needed to export the models into cod4 xmodel format.
So, you need Maya to create CoD4 xmodels.

You don't really need Maya to make models for CoD4.
Someone could create a parser for other programs like 3DS and MilkShape. Basically what the Maya plugins do, they just take out all the Maya specific ASCII junk like nodes, attributes, and parses the model/animation/uv info into xmodel/xanim format for CoD.

Scorpio Midget made a parser for LightWave and MilkShape back in the day, I guess someone could do it again.

check out the cod4 model exporter script and you'll see
