Hi all, as you can see in this image below my patches have gone wrong. Any idea why? I think its copying the light off of some other terrain mesh i copied that mesh from.


Any idea how i can sort this?

Try the light map view maybe (press L). See if it is fit to the patch in a funny way maybe?

Can you explain how light map works? All i know is that it changes the textures to some repetitive squared texutre and i do not know how to use it.

It makes the light even/uniform on your patches like the light
is all coming from the same direction.

1. Choose/highlight all the terrain patches your working on.
2. Hold "shift" and press "L". This brings you into "Light map" mode.
3. Bring up the surface editor (press "S" ).
4. With the ground still highlighted, press "Natural". You should see the light grid rearrange it's self.
5. Hold "shift" and press "L" to get out of "Light map" mode.

Is that a "v_texturename" ?

Try a different texture on your patches. A ground or floor one
to see it if goes away.

No it's not. Its called "stalingradwinter_snow01". and the one i tried after is called "stalingradwinter_snow02". And it still isn't working. Any other ideas?
