Okay, I seem to be having a big (or little) annoying problem with sofradiant. I start to go through the tutorial on making a map and when I get to the point to change the texture of the shapes that are there (which are blue and black checker board). I can’t find any textures to select. I can go to texture and try to use the Load and Load List and can’t get the textures to change. I have just used QPed and saw where it was located in the SOF game, so I went through the setup screen and selected to use PAK file and pointed it at the pak0.pak file. I am still not getting any textures. By the way this is the first time I am trying to make a map. I have looked all over and I can’t seem to find anything on this. Any help would be great.

Follow the Radiant setup closely here...

http://www.modsonline.com/Tutorials-read-2.html

The bit you have missed out is this I think...

Open up your newly acquired PAK explorer and open the SOF pak file which can be found at C:\Program Files\Raven\SOF\base\PAK0.pak.

Then unpack the folder labeled textures into your C:\Program Files\Raven\SOF\base\ folder then creating C:\Program Files\Raven\SOF\base\textures\*
You have to use QPed to EXTRACT the texture folders from the Pak file and place them in your "base/textures" folder

When you open Radiant you will see the list of texture folders under the menu

Whew!! That helped out alot. After I did that I still couldn't get it to work, untill I noticed it was looking for colormap.pcx in the SOF folder and I have SOF Platinum. After I fixed that it works. Thanks for the help.

If it is the programs you are on about...

It means to make a folder called c:\program fies...etc.....sof/base/maps folder - (if you do not already have one)

Then copy all the programs into it that are listed (from the sdk/bin folder)
