Whenever i open SDK and double click on hammer, it says ' error: no game configurations to run with' any help is appreciated

should be a link to "reset configurations" available. try that.

i clicked on 'reset game configurations', i clicked on reset, i clicked on ok, i clicked on hammer editor, i get the same error. any help? :/

you must manually configure hammer then. IT's in my book and also on the valve wiki. http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Hammer_Manual_Configuration
