Well... to start, as LPRay said, insulting people won't get you help any faster. YOU're the one coming to US for help, so insulting us when we can't doesn't make much sense.. since you can't do it yourself either.
Now.. for the answers:

1) You can only compile all the light or none of the lights. If you don't want to use the lights in your townhall, remove them (for the time being).

2) There are a few models of dead people, but they don't look that good.

3) The tutorial should work. If not, go through the stock SP scripts and try to figure out how it's done.

No, no, no, I wasnt insulting at all. I just saying that not many people help out around here. Well, that's what I am seeing. I am sorry if you guys think I was insulting, but I really wasn't.


1) There are no lights in the town hall. (When compiling, doesnt it compile everything, even though there are no lights at all? Well, it does b/c I just compiled it and it took like 8 mins!) So, is there a way to stop it from compiling when there is no lights? So it can shorten the compiling time.

2) It doesnt matter, the dead people models doesnt have to look great, now, where can I get these models? In the collmaps folder?

3) The talking AI tutorial does not work at all, for me anyway, I dont know why, it just doesnt, I followed everything on there. Maybe it only works in COD 1. [idea]

Stock files, stock files! Gee! I dont really like looking in there. Oh well, I will look at them again. If I still cant get it to work, I will ask for help again. BUT I will try hard to look in there!


Anyway, again, I wasnt insulting, I am sorry if you guys think I am. However, I am pretty good at mapping and a bit at scripting. Once I know all the complex stuff, like explosions and other advance stuff, I will be like a pro at it. I might make tutorials to make it easier for people(Perhaps) when I have the time.

`) No, as I explained.. it's either no light compile at all, or over the whole map.. and.. a whole 8 minutes?? That's nothing.,.. full maps can take days to compile on max detail etc.

2) You can add them just like you can add any model. Look for the character_, head_ and playerbody_ models.

3) Then take a look at the stock files. If you want to be a better mapper and scripter, this what you'll have to do, wether you like it or not. Being better than average also means putting in more work than average.

Ok, I will do what you say. I do have some problems other than what I said b/4.

1) I do not know what it means by "pathnodes are in solid" or "cover_crouch or whatever are in solid" What does it mean?

1.5) I dont have any cover_crouch_window or cover_right or cover_left and it says "one of those are in solid" WTF? why? plz help.

2) My map freezes everytime I load my map. It does it everytime when I have spawners, why?!

1 and 1.5) Where does it say this? In a tutorial, Radiant, ingame? A bit more explaning in your problems wouldn't hurt.

2) No idea.. probably something wrong with your spawners then.

1 and 1.5) It says in game in the console (`).

2. There is nothing wrong with my spawners. They are mg42 people.

Trigger:
key:targetname
value:flood_and_secure

actors:
key: count
value: 3


The trigger to actor, actor to pathnode, pathnode to mg42.

well.. 'in solid'... suggests to me either they are solid and shouldn't be.. or they are inside a solid brush maybe?
Make sure you're not filtering anything out.. if the console says there is something with those cover_left/right nodes, but you think you don't have them in your map.. my bet is on the console being right.

As for the spawners... you say the map freezes when you have spawners and not without them.... sounds to me like a problem with your spawners.

ok....


1) They are not inside solid brush. They are beside them like cover_wide_left/right beside a wall. I think I know why, but I dont know. The nodes are inside a prefab, (a building), is that the problem? Is that why it says they are in solid? But I need them in the building, so...

Oh yeah, the prefab (building) comes with nodes and the prefab isnt a custom one, it's from the prefab folder/corevillers/bdg. If it's causing the problem than, I dont know, I need this building, b/c it's the townhall.

2) spawners.....well, there is no problems with them, I will take a look.

1) That's very probably the cause then.
You can edit prefabs by selecting the prefab and going to edit->Enter prefab. Remove the nodes.

ok, well, I will fix all problems and I removed the nodes already.

ok one last question.


I make the enemy AI spawners and I use the count number, say, 5. How do I make them spawn 5 times just touching the trigger once and without me touching the trigger each time?
