The mod I have created always seems to reset my level to level1 and is hence locking out weapon and perk choices.

How do I run the mod on an unranked server?

I have my own folder in Mods called mymod, and in there I have all the gscs (don't want to make an iwd as I do not want the client to get my code).

My target line is:
"C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\iw3mp.exe" +set dedicated 0 +developer 0 +set fs_game "mods/mymod" + exec "server.cfg" +map_rotate

you must use this line as you start up file

+set fs_game mods/your_mod

if you have a start up command in your user forum next to ftp
use that and add this line

heres mine from DAZED&CONFUZED that is a working modded server also i have the stock ff file with my
z_modwarfare.iwd [dont change the names only your folder name]
all weapons are selectable


+set dedicated 2 +set net_ip 63.211.221.82 +set sv_maxclients 30 +set net_port 28960 +set fs_game mods/tra_mod +set +exec config.cfg +map_rotate

you can turn perks or hard point off in the server cfg add this // in front
add a folder to the iwd file, called weapons and you put modded guns there and that is what the game will run

i use a note pad and change the fire rate ..... and more
add to the weapons file and thats it

as far as the mod secrets sorry you cant hide that, everyone that downloads gets your your mod when they join

Thanks for the reply, but you are wrong, lol.

I currently have a full tactical realism mod (about 5000 lines of my own code) running on a server, server sided so nobody gets ANY code! I unlocked all weapons through my own code also.

I also made a no red dot iwd (I believe I am the first to make it and get it to work within CoD4?) That goes to client. Also probably any weapons changes I make will have to also, if I change fov settings they definitely will. A fellow modder of mine made selectable firing types for some weapons like M16 (burst, semi, full auto) which was good. Do you think it is possible to make a weapon have more than one attachment?

How are you setting it up so it's serverside only?

In folders and not in an iwd or by naming - just curious.
I do a lot of testing and not that I don't care if anyone has the code - don't want them having code that is buggy and in beta or alpha if they don't need it.
