I am trying to make a a map which is basically a large square with an octogon shaped pit but on radient where is the subtraction button sorry but I have used Worldcraft mostly don't know radient Thanks Pkstomper

'Subtraction' i assume you are refering to the CSG function which cuts a whole out of a brush? If so you will not find many people who would recommend using these functions because of the errors they caused. Learn to use the 'clipper' tool, have a search you will see many posts and even tutorials for it's use.
