Is it possible to make an emplaced m60 in a mp map ? like the ones in the sp maps ?

pretty sure its not possible to put in a working once but if its just the model ur after it can be done

Hmm do you think you can put in into mp with modding like putting a new gun into MP like the OICW but an emplaced weapon ? i'm going to try it lol [casanova]

I'm looking to do the same thing, surely it must be possible.

I'm thinking if you put it in the correct place / use the correct function enter some entity commands it might , just might be possible.

If anyone has any info on this I would love to know.

Maybe I need to search for some scripts from within SOF2 to see how it functions???? [devilishgrin]

There is one on prague SP i was thinkin that maybe you could us the same code as on there. I will look into it. Would be fun. I believe you can do it on CoD not that its any use.

My line of thinking....(dreaming) lol.

I remember the gun in question is in one of the prague maps.
If someone were to decompile the BSP if the map containing this gun then the map file could be opened within Radient.

The model(s) for the gun could then be selected and the entity commands noted.

Next there is a folder within SOF2 base containing seperate scripts for multiplayer and single player.
The code for the gun in single player appears to be there for all to see - it contains the words func_brushmodel_child wpn is bolted to
brushParent......etc

If some clever person were able to copy the correct script into the multiplayer script txt then maybe this would permit the use of this function within a multiplayer game.

It also might be possible to use the brush scripting function from within Radient ???

There are some clever scripters who post in the forum - could one of them please give us a definitive yes or no on this one???

I dont have the skills to carry out my thought process on this one I am afraid, but someone may be able to.
If they can get rain to work then I am sure the mounted weapon is a possibility [twoguns]

All I know is that it is in a single player map in prague streets.

I only played single player for a few days before getting addicted to multiplayer !!!

Please can somebody work on this .

While I am at it ..... [devilishgrin]

Rain and snow can be added to a MP map by entering a console command, but can you enter a command as an sv_command into the main server so all players view the weather?????????????

found it its in pra2 there is a prefab on sof2 file for a working gun

Trust me, your not the first to want these... (along with rotating doors) If it was possible, it would've been done by now... Even if it was part of OSP/ ROCMOD

Just say TY raven, for ripping out all the SP stuff from the MP.exe :evil:

As for snow / rain, the only thing you can do is add a note to the loading screen telling the non-mappers what to do...

I wish it wasn't that way, but this is a wet dream, nothing more...
