MODSonline.com is looking to freshen up a little. It's been a while since we updated our appearance and the time feels right. The change could be slight or drastic (although I don't care for drastic).

So, since this site is for its members, I want to know what the members would like to see in the new design. What would you like to keep the same and what would you like to see change? Does the home page not show you what you want when you come to the site?

Comment below and let me know what you think.

I'd love to see a new design. It's not that the design now looks bad or ugly, it's just been the same for a while.

It's hard to explain what I think would look good, I'd have to draw it.

Although you don't care for a drastic change, it might look cool depending on what you do. Maybe a darker colour scheme. I dunno. lol.

While I think many of you would say "Darker design", I think that too heavy. I like to feel refreshed when I come to this site and a light design helps to do that. However, that doesn't mean I won't be going dark.. hehe. Just a thought.

I will be keeping the golden/yellow and dark blue colors that you see in the banner at the top. The logo will also remain the same (or similar) to what is at the top right now. The rest of the page design is up for... whatever comes to mind.

This to me is the hardest part. Programming the pages is simple (and fun).

Well, I'll tell you that what brought this on was a bad advertising deal. I missed a mention that they wanted the advertising to be permanent until the pages no longer exist. This was my fault and I didn't notice until one month had passed. I was going to change the pages to meet the requirements for discontinuation, but have already decided to refund them and cancel the advertising.

However, for the sake of feeling updated and fresh, I think that a change, even if it were slight, would be welcome. We've had this design for a number of years. Even if the design were a slight change of colors on the columns.. just something to make the site feel updated.

Updating is not necessary.. just a thought.

One possible idea is to make the windows on the side removable/collapsable based on your preference. Since I dont ever really look at half of them so tucking them out the way might be nice

You could have drop down menus because when i come on the site to have a look on the forums i have to look for forums on the side. There's alot of links in that list its hard to find the one you are looking for. With drop down menus you could have the writing a bit bigger.

Less links on the left Main Menu and Tutorial sections, or categorize them into packs for ease of reference.

Less clutter on the many page, maybe condense the 'News' posting to just one line phrases with links to a separate page to read the full article.

Have a link to the page with list of News Grabs rather than posting the long list on the frontpage, maybe something like "Today's New Grabs, Click Here".

Somehow I feel the front page needs more photos of mods/maps, and just don't throw it up like CoDFiles does to have space filler, but some way to show that this place is ModsOnline and the people here work on stuff.
