just been playing the demo, and i tried to set the controls up so they're the same as my cod/uo controls. Couple of problems though, - I have forward, back, strafe left, strafe right, lean left and lean right assigned to numpad 8, 0, 7, 9, 4, and 6 respectively, but the demo doesn't read from the numberpad in game - it'll only move the player using the normal number keys above qwerty. Also, there's no option for "stance down" - a single key in cod/uo that lefts you go from stand to crouch, then crouch to prone, nor is there one for stance up.

Does the full game have numpad support and these stance options?

Turn off num lock :)

I never normally register to these sites, don't like the tons of emails you get later. Anyway, I believe I have your answer, as I had the same problem, and searched the web for the answer.

Open COD4, go to controls, and reset them to default. Close COD4, and reopen with Num Lock OFF. Apply the controls you want, and play the game still with Num Lock off.

surprised how well the demo runs. I only have a x1600 and 3700+ athlon and it still runs playably well at 1920*1200 with stock settings.
