really?????!!!!!
How many does mp_ship have? my map is probably smaller than it and should probably have a similar spawn #

also, i tried compilin it in both ways shown by the tutorial....didnt work. got an error saying that something was some # and needed to be 59....ill post the exact error message later. of course, it still needs the sun behind the clouds and a gsc file.....im lookin that tutorial (if there is one) up right after this post

ill be sure to put the oddball textures into their own little folder so i can put it out there...

there's no set number of spawn points for a map just put in as many as you think would be necessary for 20 or 30 players.

you should test compile your map every hour of or so of mapping so if there is a problem you will not have wasted too much time and you will probably know where the problem is since you only did a little work on it.

And save the map in multiply versions such as map01 map02 map03. delete any version that has major problems and go back to an earlier version that worked.

well, the map is all done, except for the sun, i made the gsc for it and i tried both ways listed in the tutorial to compile it
i use winrar to see if it is ok, and iget an error saying that it is an unknown file type or damaged, it is a bsp though. so my guess is that somehow, the two compiling processes do not work....any help?

the error i kept getting in the game was:
mp_v1launchsite has wrong type number:19...
should be 59

thats part of the sky texture that you use

can you play the map by using the bsp file.

open your game, start a server, set pure to no
then in console type devmap v-1 launchsite.

also I'm not sure if your can have - in you map name

i have tried what you suggested several times, but each time it says "mp_v1launchsite.bsp not found"

there is no - in the name

though i have not had devmap in front of it, i just type in map mp_v1launchsite

ill try usin the devmap part in front...maybe thats the key...

your bsp should be in cod/uo/maps/mp.

are your files set up right?

found the problem...didn't export as .map
now when i try to play i get a script compile error
made a tiny map out of a uboat prefab i made as a test and that was the error that popped up when i tried to play it

what other scripting is needed to make the map work? i got the gsc describing the characters...am i missing anything??
