As Nemo said. You modified the stock .iwd file. You should never modify the stock files. Extract the file you want to alter, alter it and place it in a new .iwd file in the same folder structure. All that's left for you to do now is to copy the iw_08.iwd file from your install disk over the one in your /main folder, thus undoing your modifications.

My problem is that i cant connect to any server. If i try it with standard iw_08.iwd i can connect but if i want connect to a server with my edit iw_08.iwd it doesnt work. Than came this error^^ @Nemo And Caretaker can you help me by this? xD edited on Oct. 28, 2007 12:26 pm by daki

DAMN!this will help 100%: DO NEVER MODIFY THE STOCK IWD FILES use winzip, winrar or pakscape to create a NEW archive (zip normal compression) from your altered files and change the file extension to *.iwd. further informations 'bout iwd-files and -structure have a look at the cod2 modding section (Creating an .iwd file) (sorry, such people which ignore the given solution gets my goat...)

With my own .iwd file come an other error by starting cod2. "image default can not load"

Try downloading a menu mod which does exactly what you want and see how they did it.. No idea about the error other than you probably did something wrong. What file did you alter, how did you name it.. did you leave the stock files alone this time?

I copied the iw_08.iwd file in a folder on my desktop. Then i extract this file in another folder. After it i put my menupicture in it and than i make new iwd file... At least i copied my own iw_08.iwd file in main-folder. I want run CoD2 and it doesnt work. What do you mean with menu-mod? o.Ô

You should not copy your own iw_08.iwd file into your /main folder.. that's doing the same as modifying it. Make a MEW .iwd file (zzz_mymod.iwd) and place that in your /main folder. And leave the stock files alone. Don't replace them, don't alter them.
