Coding as in shader scripts right? Or have I completely missed the boat on this one?

I believe he means coding in the sense of modding the game -- either by adding or changing entities and things like that (adding NPC support in MP, changing the way doors work, the way dynamic lights work, etc)

Actually... we have big plans here at GDConnect.

We plan on creating a place for programmers to come and collaborate on the SOF2 code. We want to make it easier to do such things as:

• make rotating doors
• add bots
• create entities that we always thought should be there
• do things in sof2 that we always wanted

What better way to get this to work than to work together?

Expect some things to start popping up in hopes to push this effort and make SOF2 more the game we hoped it could be.

Damn, I love to code myself, but why does it have to be in C :P , let's rewrite to whole thing in java, so i can understand it also, :biggrin:

In, working on possible bugs and more features
- team only doors
- destructable doors
- lockable / lock pickable doors
- manual-use doors (ie. with use key)

• add bots
Basic ones done. If someone wants to improve them grab the current Man Down source code and go for it :)

• create entities that we always thought should be there
Such as?

• do things in sof2 that we always wanted
Refer previous :)

If you're a mapper and want to test this new stuff out, please email me so I can hook you up with it (or talk to narc, as he should have it by now).
