Do you have g_connectpaths set in your shortcut?
nullFew tips for coding.
1. Keep the script as short as possible.
2. Don't comment every line. Only comment portions where they may be needed to point something out.
3. Don't over complicate the script, keep it organized and easy to read.

These help you find simple errors and makes it easy to make changes.

yes.I do have shortcut,can't figure it out ,tell me how you set up a actor to move allied,please,give example,thanks dave[wave]i don't know what I'am doing wrong done alot of different ways still no movement.

Well , The g_connectpaths 1 in the shortcut does not work with me neither so I just start up cod, open console type /developer 1, then
/spdevmap mapname , and when the map is running , open console again and type /g_connectpaths 1 , and then type /map_restart in the console and then it should work. For test maps the connectpaths stuff won't take long , but with large maps it could take 10 min or so.
It looks like it is struck , but it is only connecting paths and will go on after a while.

hi, im new and am also trying to get this to work , the tut says:FIRST select one of the allied actors. THEN select the info_playerstart. Now press "w" and you'll notice that a line with an arrow is now connecting the actor to the i
info_playerstart.
the problem is when i select the actor i cannot figure out how to select the info_playerstart at the same time. everytime i try the actor becomes unselected. sorry for the newb question but i would really appreciate a clear answer as i feel im just making baby steps here.[drink]

Very important is that you always need 2 action nodes (cover_prone etc.) in your friendly chain per trigger. So if you want 1 actor only place 2 the same action nodes and collect like this: trigger -> node1 -> node2

Also make sure you have ticket the connect nodes in the compile menu and added + set g_connectpaths 1

For the rest i can be very short

1. Connect the actor to your spawn
2. Place the trigger around the spawn
3. Do the rest like above.

thanks for the reply but unfortunaley it doesnt help, what i want is to link a small squad with the player as in this tut:

the problem comes when i want to link my squad to my player and when i select the actor to player start the actor becomes unselected. so i guess the real question is how you select two entities (actor and player start) so i can link the two.

i figured how to link actors to player even though the arrows come from player to actor, hope that isnt a problem when i compile, but another part of that tut has me stumped, it says:
FIRST Select the "AI trigger" texture. Remeber that that is the brush that is completely surrounding the info_playerstart. NOW select the "node/cover_crouch_window". Now press "w" to join them.
when i do this i get a failed to create entity error and at the bottom in the little window it says "entity not created, cant make a point entity out of brushes" wtf?[banghead]
