Ok, guys,
Got a rather simple question to a silly problem It has to do
with using the treeline texture. What I am running into is that
whenever I place a brush caulk and then change the texture
to the foliage/treeline2_cntr#0 texture, then I get a stretch-like texturing, so I am confused on what is the proper
procedure to apply this texure.
I have tried COPY and PASTE and sometimes it seems to work
for me, but then when I rotate the brush, the texture gets
stretched. Here is an example of what I'm talking about.

As you can see by the white arrow, this texture is stretched.
It appears that, to apply a texture such as this, you have to
place a brush the same size as the image itself. I am not
sure if, in CODRadiant, I should use the Surface Inspector (S)
and adjust it this way or not.

In the image below, I simply placed a caulk (whatever size) in
the map, and then placed the treeline texture on it, and this
is what happened...

Note how the texutre became REALLY stretched.

The image below is what it looks like in CODRadiant

As you can see from the image below, I have this working
in some places:

All I did for these textures, was cut and paste, but then when
I copy / paste, and rotate these into another position, the
texture becomes stretched. It appears that whenever you want
to place this particular texture, you have to create a new
brush, and place the texture on the brush and the brush MUST
be the same size all the time...
I hope that I am wrong about this, because this is just another
texture being used. I dont have this problem with any other
textures.

So... Do you guys know the proper way to apply this texture
OR perhaps have a link that shows the proper way to do this?
BTW: I also created a PREFAB, and have been using it with
no problems, when I keep it faced the way it was build, but
when I rotate it, the same problem occurs...???

Thanks in advance for your help... I just know you guys
have seen this silly problem before...

First off for tree lines you should really be using patch meshes, and to stop the strecthing use muliple brushes instead of one long brush. But really learn how to use patch meshes because they willl help cut down on your visual size
of your map.And yes the surface inspector is your friend,so between that and patch meshes, using multiple brushes it should work as long as you don t try iusing a small texture for a large area.
