Gentlemen,
I have been reading MODSONLINE.com for some time, but I am at a loss when it comes to bump mapped water flowing down a river. I have the image from mp_telemark below, which I have this map running on my server, |*USMC*| Sniper 24/7 in COD1, ver 1.5, but I am at a loss as to how to create this type of river. My website is www.callofdutyworld.com

Any help will surely be appreciated. Click on this link to see the image from this GREAT MAP.

do you mean bumpy water? I think it's possible, but if it isnt, then it's the in-game engine. just try making a terrain patch of water and hit V to move around the vertices.

Those bumbs are not made by vertices. Its an equation making them. Dont try to make this kind of water with Terrain patches, and vertices.

As to how to make custom bumb water I do not know. I can bet some one here can tell you how to do it with shaders (most likely thats how its done)

There are, however, a few stock textures like this. Usually they show up as the Checked (no shader) preview in radiant. but the names should give it away, and if not just test test textures with suspicious names.

Its one of the stock water efx textures, but I can never remember which each one does. I know mp_ocean water has the wave and 'bumpy' effects to it and I think some of the others have similar look and feel, one of the pegasus waters I think

Just make a Water texture [machine_gun]. Pretty sure it automatically does the bumps. [rocking]

sadly it doesn't. soon as I figure out how to make textures I'm going to make alot of them 3D, like bumped walls, wavy water, reflective water(with no scripting), just as soon as I can figure out how to do some texture scripting-if there is any. but then again, how does the ladder texture make you temporarily lose your gun?
