Please, do not bump your posts so fast, sniper.. some of us have lives. Give us at least 24 hours...

As for the questions.... scopes are made in a picture editing program.. they're nothing more than a texture overlay (the black thing) and a field of vision part, in the weapon files most likely.

Paint.net is a free program and it works well. You have to add the dds add on to make it work but after that it's a breeze![crazy] just practice on some already made scopes you'll be fine.[thumbs_up]

so, I can just do this in paint, make it a DDS(via converter), then just put it in a directory(like Main/scopes/SCOPESIGHT.DDS)?

aight. I'll make it like gfx/CUSTOMSCOPE or something like that, just as soon as I find where all the scopes are at. I'll look through all of the PAK.PK3 files and folders, see what I can see.

All you need to do is open up the existing scopes, they will be transparent in the scope part and black in the other part.

You'll need a fairly advanced image editing program to play around with transparency.

1.) the lines in the scope are called the SIGHTS to make it clear

2.) I think I'll just use my already installed program and see if I can find it, otherwise i'll Google paint.net

No, regular paint wont work but Paint.net will and you will need the dds plug in. otherwise you will never open it and edit it. If you don't pay attention to the transparency you will have a black screen. So when you save it you have to save as dds. then you have other options as well you can play with.[jumping]
