All you need to do is open up the existing scopes, they will be transparent in the scope part and black in the other part.

You'll need a fairly advanced image editing program to play around with transparency.

1.) the lines in the scope are called the SIGHTS to make it clear

Why do I care, your probably THE most patronizing person I've ever heard (the second time you've said something like this). Just trying to help, seeing as your asking the questions it isn't your place to be correcting me, its obvious you knew what I meant so why try and make an ass of me.

Anyway, if you want I can make you a sample image in an un-flattened format so you can play around with it. I've made them before, all you need to do is take the original scope image and create your own one on top making sure that the aim point is dead in the center of the image. Simple.

well, I've tried something on my own. I made an image in Paint(256x256) and made the actual sights. then I saved it as JPEG, opened it in Picture IT! and then saved it as a TNG image. Now I'm going to put it into a modfile in PK3 form. however, I would have to do someweapon modding, no worries, I'm very farmiliar with weapons modding!

BTW i waasn't making you look like an ass. simply say you what a sniper would say[sniper] cuz' I'm one of the people who has ACTUAL guns, not airsoft or anything, like military-used sniper rifles.

3 things i think ur doin wrong, saving the sights as JPEG will loose any alpha (the see through part in-game) and TNG i dont think cod supports and not sure if it has alpha
and 256x256 is a bit small for a scope? maybe 512x512 or 1024x1024

Dude I don't think you can do it in paint. It has to be a program that supports transparency. Paint.net does this. It also has to be in .dds format and you can get a .dds plug in for paint.net. I am not pushing this program on you but it's free and it works well.
After you build your scope you have to have it 1024x1024 by the way. anyway you have to save it as .dds and DXT 5 interpolated alpha that works the best for me. Make sure its uniform otherwise you will have orphans all over the place. You will need three different type or copy the scope 3 times and name them all different for amer, ger, brit.
Good luck!!
