My video card is ATI rx1950 Pro AGP. so despite I know that gf are better for gamin than ATI. I want to improve the prformance I mean I want to play easier in cod an other games. Any Ideas? edited on Sep. 1, 2007 05:37 pm by S!lverSh0t

Make sure you've got the latest drivers. Lower the texture, shadow details etc, to boost FPS. Play on a lower resolution boosts FPS. The x1950 is a great card AGP though, I don't see much need to improve your performance for most games... for an AGP card it's a great one.

/agree with The_Caretaker. Most of people I'vee been talking with ingame, got decent graphic Card. Their average FPS is around 90. I play myself on a low spec system (Athlon XP 2000+ and FX5200 with 128 MB RAM). And I get 25 FPS on average. My settings are low on details, DirectX 7 and a resolution of 1024*768 to try and keep up. On the other hand I've noticed that a good screen makes a lot of difference though. I've been playing on this system with a 17" CRT and now I have a 19" CRT (latest generation of trinitron). I love it. I've been playing on a new system (P4@ 3GHz, 8800GTS with a 22" TFT) and yes the graphics are amazing compared to what I am used. But the screen sucks for gaming, big time. Appart from the Hardware, you could try to "tweak" your fame settings following the recommandation given on tweakguides.com Regards. Tam

thanx once again a lot for ur replies that helped me. one more thing! my card supports dx9. So it should work great on cod2 with dx9 but thats up to a point. I mean that if it supports dx9 so why doesnt it run so good with dx9?

And, dowload a cfg, or two to have fps eve boosted, also play on 800x600 resolution with anti aliasing off... some cfgs delete shells flying out of yer gun, no more hole on wall, andmore og tjhose thins... and rise your fps to 125...
