you can set the overal lighting of your map in the worldspawn settings.. there are tutorials on how to set that, and in the CoD2 section you can find a list of the settings in the stock maps... use one which comes close to what you want.. and then alter it a bit.. or not.

by the way: anybody can give me a custom skybox (blue sky with clouds, moon for nightmaps, ...)?

I just gave you hints.. I pointed you towards tutorials!.

As for custom skies... first try the stock ones.. they usually have what you want.

OK i have seen this qestion many times, so now just to make it easier for them, with the different sky texures, i am going to make a .pk3 with the sky textures! This way people can stop asking what the sky textures are... + it is easy to choose what sky you want, w/o typeing in the whole name.... What it does it it is like you are textureing a house! Just all it is, is a jpg with the sky texture's name, that way it will load the texture's name in radiant, and give it a view, but load the real sky texture in game. If that sounded confusing lol i like to make it that way. Any way check the downloads for this pk3.
nullFew tips for coding.
1. Keep the script as short as possible.
2. Don't comment every line. Only comment portions where they may be needed to point something out.
3. Don't over complicate the script, keep it organized and easy to read.

These help you find simple errors and makes it easy to make changes.
