I never actually submitted my map. I'm sure one of the conditions was that it had to be playable and as complete as possible.
Sure I could run around in the map. Yet there were alot of glitches, bugs, tears in terrain, holes that you could get outside the play area. No one in there right mind would submit something so incomplete and buggy.
On top of this, I had an unstable computer that kept resetting which did not help the situation. When you find yourself redoing the same thing 5 times over. Believe me, it is frustrating. Sure I saved as often as I could, but I had to constantly revert to backup copys as the file wold also corrupt after a reset.
As it was, I'm sure you'll find that entries from last comp weren't started when the competition started. Some were. Some weren't.
As long as we have not released the map privately or otherwise. Then it should be legal.
In saying that. I have no problem starting a new map just for this competition.
(unless the comp moderators state otherwise!?)

We encourage internal testing of maps to prevent bugs.
Maps that were previously submitted cannot be submitted again. IF you were working on a map and never submitted it, then you can finish the map and submit it this time. If I see a map that I saw in a previous contest, I will disqualify it. |
