Why is it when i try to compile my map is leaks. I have made sure that nothing is going outside of the caulk texture and there are no gaps between the culks brushes. What am i to do?.

Did you follow the tut on making skyboxes? Just make six brushes to create a contained box, and have the map inside the box.

What you can do is with the map open in radiant, go to file>pointfile. A red line will show you where the problem is at, so you know for sure.

thanks for the tip: I never knew that one to begin with. Now I've got a question:

Why the file point to is a non existing thing ? I mean it is outside my skybox which is containing everything in the map. So no object are outside the boundaries of that box. And I believe I made it first so to make it perfectly sealed.

Sometimes you have to get real close in the 2d window and the 3d window and follow the whole route that the red line takes and pay special attention to every point where the red line goes through or between brushes.

I too had trouble understanding what I was seeing but practice will give you the knack to picking out the problem quickly.

Do you have any portal brushes in place yet? If so then that is the other main place to check for leaks.

Well some portals are in place in the underground part of my map. But I have not been able to check whether those are dismissed last time I've compiled (I still have to learn yet how to get the console output to append an error.log file).

But I think I'll be able to move on with my current project as I had a weird MAP_MAP_NODE error that might have been the model outside the skybox in the first place; I've tried just after I read your post and put some of the more details features I was holding back because of this error and so far I've not had that error back. ^_^
