50cal round aren't explosive. no bullet can be explosive because the heat from the powder ignition would set off the explosion inside the gun thus blowing up the gun right in your face! I know this simply cuz I have real guns and now hillary wants to take them away from me[eek] [eek] [eek][sniper] [2guns]

Hmm hate to say it but I beg to differ.

Incendiary: These bullets are made with an explosive or flammable mixture in the tip that is designed to ignite on contact with a target. The intent is to ignite fuel or munitions in the target area, thereby adding to the destructive power of the bullet itself. These rounds aren't generally sold to the public. I think the smallest version I've used is 7.62mm and the largest is 20mm. I know there are larger rounds with better packages for larger weapons.

Cheers

Didnt know you shot 4 real foxhound!

As far As I know incendiary bullets don't exactly make a 5 foot radius explosion(as far as I know) like Stuie wants...cool mod idea though!

Incendiary bullets do blow out your guts though and leave a descent, noticeable hole in your chest/head. From what I've read and heard, tracer rounds are a lot alike incendiary rounds, cept they don't really explode...they glow.

matter of fact, I've been working on making a tracer round for CoD/CoD2 for quite some time now, but I can't quite figure out how to make a custom FX file. I've read the scripts thousands of times and I'm almost positive they have a special program for making EFX files.

BTW: how on earth did you get your hands on a 20mm? were you in the army or sumthin? or are you just freakishly lucky?

Sadly, I live in Iowa, and none of my local stores(all 5) have CoD4 in stock yet! I'm ticked on that account...[banghead] I'm already making maps (with caulk of course) so that I don't have to start from scratch with the CoD4 editor.

i thought the CoD4 editor was different, and new, not the Quake editor.
nullFew tips for coding.
1. Keep the script as short as possible.
2. Don't comment every line. Only comment portions where they may be needed to point something out.
3. Don't over complicate the script, keep it organized and easy to read.

These help you find simple errors and makes it easy to make changes.

I've seen Tally post a few messages at RGN that people will be able to open up compiled maps in the editor.

I highly doubt that, but then again... it would be cool but most maps will be compressed in FastFiles.

I'll try to get confirmation on that.

COD4 has some real nice environments. Going to be interesting what the modding/mapping comunity comes up with once tools released. I really do hope there terrain manipilation so better. Even if at the very lease there is just a road tool that automatically joins and blends with terrain (like crysis editor). If not, oh well [ohwell]
