Have you installed all the drivers and programs recommended? dlls, .Net, etc?

remove all non-stock maps and mods from the main directory - just move them to a folder called 'moved' or something like that

i re-installed the game and delete the /activision/call of duty 2/ folder so there was nothing there what so ever, and im still getting the error its very strange

Hi Herc m8,, you may need to delete all references to activision in your registry before a reinstall.. Azz and I have looked at that error and isnt it that one you would get if you had ticked sumpin in the editor like open last map or project or sumpin like that.. greets doa and azz

If DadofAzz's answer doesn't work try re-installing the Mod tools not Call of Duty 2.

thx doa, i have a similar error to this when i ticked "load last map on next visit" but that was a while ago! this error just popped up out of the blue! lol.... ill try one more re-install today and delete all registrys in regedit
