So, how are we all doing with those MODSCON submissions? Are you gonna have them done? The deadline is tomorrow.

Just a reminder here that this weekend is the deadline for the currently running Call of Duty Series Mapping and Modding contest . Are you ready? Are those submissions sent in? You'd better double check!

Anyone else is the same position? That they won't finish but they are very close to being finished?

I kinda gave up and lost interest in my entry ages ago, didnt help that in the end I built the majority of it on the diagonal and it can get tricky with fiddly bits

Good luck to all those that have entered :)

The way my week and especially this weekend has gone it does not look like I will finish in time.

I've been encountered issues with compiling for several days, specifically lighting. The only way I may get it finished is if I reduce the map drastically back to when lighting component of the compile actually worked!

I've also got texture glitches where even though a wall has a texture appplied, they are see through yet solid. Just like then a wall has the caulk texture applied. I know for a fact hasn't.

The map started off so well and it has now become frustrating, more so as the deadline looms closer.

Maybe because of the time constraints I've rush a little and in the process stuft something up that is causing these issues?

Even if I manage to enter something, it wont be exactly what I envisioned the end result would be.

Good luck to all other entrants!

why not extend the contest another month. it's very unfortunate. all of these contests usually last at most 2 months and there is no way (with the exception of a team of people) to create something decent in that amount of time, especially a map. Basically you need to get lucky and have a contest be announced when you are almost finished with your project. For a map i would say it takes an average of 3 months to build. I wish there was a contest that would allow for more time.
