Just wanted to let you guys in on a great update I saw go past my desk recently. We have checked in Anti-Cheat support for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare to be available out of box at launch.

I can't go into a great depth of detail on the specifics (i.e. Is it punkbuster or not, what are the logistics) etc, but I wanted to let you know it is in there. We are currently testing and developing it further and will continue to do so up till launch and post launch, but I wanted to let you guys see how far your community feedback is going.

We're working to make sure Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is THE leading PC title both casually and competitively, and taking your feedback over the past two years to heart.

I'll keep you updated as we make more progress. Thanks guys!

Great to hear that It'll have Anti-Cheat.

One Question:

Do you know whether it will be Vista Only?

Don't know 100% certainly about the XP and Vista deal, but I'm guessing more than likely it'll be for XP with support for Vista.

What's been confirmed regarding hardware specs so far:
DX9 and DX10 (No real difference in visuals, just more frames per second with DX10).
No support for cross-platform.

Word is if you can run CoD2 on DX9 you'll be fine.

It seems that all the CoD4 sites, put up require you to be 17 or older? Is this also meaning that the game will be rated M, or will it be T, just like all the other Call of Duty games?

If they do have it M, there going to lose a lot I mean a lot of players, most are 13-15 year olds. Unless they buy it illegally, but stores such as Wal-Mart, etc. check Identifications.

A lot of little kids have GTA games, so no lose in sales for CoD4 if it's M.

Direct proof is the CharlieOscarDelta site... a lot of kids running around there even though there's an age gate when you go to the site.
