This is one of the most beautiful and detailed maps i ever seen and played.

only one problem is that with all this detail, the frame impact it brings is huge, with a bigger number of people it gets to unplayable levels.

but on the design level, its one of the best.

That was an awsome map!! The detail in it is some of the best I have ever seen. I had some frame rate issues and it was a bit dark at some points but nothing that really took away from the map. I only wish I had a faster connection so I could actually play this online [sad]. By the way is that a custom water texture you used because it looked great?

Map wouldn't run on AWE3.1 , could you try to optimize it for modded servers?

thank you all for the nice feedback

we are aware of some fps problems,
its always a tough decision between look and fps

but all portals work perfectly and the vis is very good

so on a not too old computer, it should work fine

also we know about the problems with AWE

but to be honest, we have no clue what the problem is

so if any1 has some suggestions about this, feel free to let us know

First (and again) : Congratulations for this brilliant map ! [thumbs_up]

...And I feel very sad to not to be able to put it on my AWE 3.2.2 server ! [sad]

As I said on CODUTILITY, the error with AWE is:

ERROR: G_ModelIndex: overflow
********************


(ie : There's too much models in the map)

For me, FPS sometimes drops to 30, even in DX7.
But perhaps my PC is too old (GeForce 6600 GT + 1Go RAM + XP )... [rolleyes]

yes, i know its a really nice map, but its unplayable online, just by playing by myself i get 40-50 frames around the map, playing with people makes it even worse. its not much about your computer tho, the engine just cant take that much detail, and mostly as you said, the models. the map might be portalled perfectly, but if there is nothing to block the view of many of the models, such as on your map, it has one big open terrain, everything almost will be randered, and engine will drop to its knees.

I believe if half of the models, whould be taken out, most of the ones that are not that much important, the map whould be playable, and still look great.

once again congratulations for the design tho.
