To me, they should of done something in-between.
That's an interesting idea, one that I hadn't thought of.
Are you thinking of a Viet Nam game, or something else?
You know..... If you have played the Vietnam games, like Shellshock vietnam, and Battlefield vietnam.... Then you know, VIETNAM WAS A DAMN BORING WAR, I MEAN LIKE, IN GAME, SUP WITH THE JUNGLE?! WE WANT TANKS, HELICOPTERS. lol! |

For the Call of Duty series... isn't Modern Warfare a break and something different?
There's always the opportunity to make a Vietnam/WWII total conversion if you really want it.
Don't say you don't know how to do the stuff, there are plenty of tutorials.
People can talk the talk but can't walk the walk.

Who said CoD4 uses the Unreal engine? lol What a good joke.
It's still the same proprietary Call of Duty multi-platform engine with new upgrades.
They're still using Radiant, so it can't possibly be the Unreal Engine for CoD4. ![[thumbs_up]](images/BBCode/smilies/thumbs_up.gif) |

It's unfortunate that most of those images are taken out from the previously released trailer...so it's hard to base an opinion on game graphics when the only 'real' game screenshots are in the june 15 album (6 of them). But based on those 5 screens, i say the game looks like eye candy despite the fact that it doens't compete with the Crysis engine.
And I am one of those few people who are happy IW changed the series from WW2 to modern warfare. I was slightly starting to get bored with the 39-45 plot even if I am a big fan of it. The switch will be refreshing and I hope the best for IW and its new title (which should kick even more ass once i start making new sp maps ![[casanova]](images/BBCode/smilies/casanova.gif) )
Peace out

Oh, lol, i saw it in a Gaming Magazine, some kinda Collins or whatever name said it. It's may lie, but if they use the Old Quake engine, then i'm glad! Lol, easiest modable engine ever made! |

Well, er um, there IS another war. You may not remember the history class...
Korea.
Was pretty much a cake walk to a point, until half a million Chinese came over the hill.
More modern weapons began to emerge, semi-auto assault rifles.... Tanks were abundant. They still had some of the vintage WWII tanks, but then the M48s and stuff came out. These are the tanks you see in cheap WWII movies one version for the Germans and the other version for the US.
