Hi everyone,

I got an interesting problem that puzzles me a lot. I have a trigger_once painted in front of a player spawn point. I also have a monster (monster_zombie_boney_1) in the basic room I have created. The monster has the teleport key set to 1 and is also a spawner to another monster and the trigger has a target key with the same name as the monster. Even the editor shows an arrow that connects the trigger with the monster, meaning that I have linked them correctly.

I bsp the level (and save it) and it comes out clean with no errors. I then run the game, load the map and once I spawn in I check the console for errors and find none. So far, so good. Now, when I walk into the trigger, I expect the monster to appear, but nothing happens!

I dont understand, I thought that by doing all of the above, the monster is supposed to spawn in when I walk through the trigger and once I kill it, another monster (of the same type) is supposed to teleport in. But I get absolutely nothing, no errors anywhere and no monsters either. What am I doing wrong here?

Please, someone, help with this mess...

why use teleport? Why not just make the monster active upon trigger. Then the monster is there and not running after you until it is triggered?
