Heart of the Battle June 8th Update

Hello everyone,

It has been a while since we did any kind of update. Today we decided to do one to go along with the recording of the newest Modsonair episode. Our development team is working hard to get the game completed. We have ported in PhysX by Ageia and it is looking very good. We have some screenshots for you to look at.

Our website is here *fixed link

Please remember most of these shots are work in progress, so we ask that you please be realistic with your comments.

Tanks

C47 - Paratrooper Plane

Guns

Opel Blitz - German Troop Carrier Truck

Soldier - German Wehrmacht

Nice, i see you've made A LOT of progress model wise since your last update. All the models look nice and high detail.

What's the max polys that the game engine your using can handle for weapons or other models?

For weapons, were aiming for 700-4000 polys. As for players, 1000-5000. Tanks, trucks, planes and other vehicles 2000-7000. All of these models have LOD's (level of detail) so the farther away you are form the model, the less polys are rendered.

Totally agree!

They look great textured - But stripped naked - Those models look smooth and so curvatious [smokin]

Dang thats quite a rang for polys, no wonder your guns have a lot of detail.

Is it me, or does the height of the front handle of the thompson need to be moved up, like on the Z-Axis. It has that effect that some1 squashed the sides in a little bit, which made its height increase.

Hopefully the above made sense...couldnt think of how to explain it.

Im abit worried about the weapon polys, normally a weapon would range from 500-1000 for a low end PC but it depends on what other things are going on, i know you have to have the good detail but at the same time be able to play the game without lag, but great work guys!
