Bit of a wild guess here, but it looks as though your fog isn't extended far enough to fill the room. In the orthogonal view, does the fog brush fully cover the room?
I haven't played with fog much yet, but it seems to create odd artifiacts if you can see the side of a fog area. It has to be used so that players can only ever see the top of fog areas.

what i wanted was for the fog 2 fade in, if the fog HAS to cover the hole 4 walls how can u enter a room that is fogy without it messing up?
e.g a long corridor and as u get further down the corridor fog apears and it starts 2 get thicker as u proceed further down the corridor

I don't think you can, you couldn't with the Quake3 engine.
The only places I've noticed it used in the actual game are on the huge industrial elevator on a slope and in one of the DM maps. With the elevator you descend into it and in the DM map, you go down steps to enter it.

That said, I can't recall how you exit the fog in the elevator level, might be worth checking.

Also, the fog has a natural fade in effect when you use it.

I can't figure out how to get rid of it either. I just tried all sorts of things. It just doesn't seem to falloff properly or something.

If you make the fog entity the exact same size as the room you will get that weird glitchy effect. It looks almost like Z fighting and perhaps it is. To get rid of it make the fog extend past the wall boundrys just a tad. As for the fade in I have no idea, I have been trying to figure that out myself.

why can't you just adjust the radius?

it will cover the whole room if the radius is the exact size of the room.

make a brush that is the exact size of the room. right click and turn that into a light.

try that.
