Is there a way to sellect all identical objects, or atleast all objects of the same type?

For instance, if I have placed 50 lights with specific values all over my map, and I want to bring their brightness down, it would be great if I could sellect one and then magically have the rest sellected without ctrol-clicking each one indivudually.

I don't know how to make that type of selection, but you can make selecting those lights easier.

In the VisGroups box on the right in Hammer, select the Auto tab. Uncheck everything except for Lights. Now all you should be able to see in your map are your lights.

Ah, that's good enough. I wondered how people could stand making large maps since it get's cluttered so quickly. =P

hehe. I'm sure that's why they added that option to Hammer. It does get confusing when they get large. For instance, open one of the maps that comes with the installation and then try to find a specific point in that map that you recognize. You can do it, but it may take a while. Start hiding some things from view and it all makes more sense.
