The problem with animation for cod is that you need to make lots of them :( and there very time consuming.

E.g Raise_anim, Drop_anim, Alt_raise_anim , Fire_anim , Reload_anim , Reload_empty_anim, ADS_raise_anim , ADS_lower_anim etc etc etc...

Its an art doing them also so their not 'snappy' or 'pop' when ending the anim cycle.

Exporting and converting to xmodel is a pain also as there is no 100% explaination anywhere on the processes of doing it... Got it down to a fine art now but it just another pain about animation.

@DarkDilbert

Can you give me a screenshot of the model your wanting plz or even better would be the xmodel name.

sorry can't give specifics. I'm after a general pack of them really. specifically, i wouldn't mind the grasses, heather and wild flower models if anyones up for converting them. Don't need the collmaps

@Darkdilbert

I'll convert all the flora/folage i can find in cod2 into coduo models ready for map placement.

@.Killer

I'll convert the trenchgun and the BAR from cod2 into coduo but they wont have animations.... The BAR will be easy enough to mess with and use stock animations on it, as for the trenchgun im not going to mess making anims for it but ill still convert it into a usable coduo weapon.

I was thinging about making a milkshape video tutorial purely about cod/coduo.... Starting with basic modeling and basic skinning/mapping with the rather useless decal mapping that comes with milkshape, Then move onto weapons/vehicles complete with animations and the converting process. Might add some lythunwrap mapping, photoshop skin making and cod/cod2 model decompiling if size/time permits.

Would this be of any use to anyone if i did this?

well moviestar, looks like you might be able to help me out a lot once again
btw, i am still having trouble with that rail gun, i have put all the folders in the right places, but it still wont work, any help?

anyway, with the cod2 xmodels to coduo, i wouldnt mind the P-51 Mustang, Panzer II, Panzerwerfer, 155mm guns, and churchill tank, dstroyed churchill, destroyed Panzer II, destroyed Panzerwerfer. they are all going to be stationary in my mp map, so dont worry about animations
if you could make those coduo models, i would appreciate it very much, thanks.

moviestar... pls by all means make a tut on how to use milkshape and how to make weapons/vehicles with animation... i am lost on the whole bone/tag issue and how to create them... this area seems to be one of the few things for cod that doesnt seem to have alot of support for people to learn from...

cheers moviestar. you're probably best off packing all the models everyone wants into a single zip and uploading it here.

I have some dandelion models done for anyone who's interested in rat maps

The tuts would be very useful. I havent really or seen any video tuts for Milkshape.Especially ones for making guns and skinning.Besides there isnt enough modeling tutorials on here...i think.

hey moviestar, i have to agree w/ DA darkdilbert when he says that you might be better off putting the things in a zip file and throwing them on here for every one to use.
