xmodels are things like tables, trees, chairs, vehicles etc:
To add them to your map right click/misc/model

Here's a tip [wink] if you add vehicles to your map only use ones that end with the word static [wink]

Try using a different texture to that part of the wall.

I sent you a pm yesterday, It's still in my outbox[wink]

1. Making stairs is easy, just make the bottom one then press space bar to copy it then move it to where you want it then do the same again until you reach the top of where you want the stairs to end.

2. After you have textured your wall press "s" Surface Inspector and click on Fit, or press Shift and f [wink] you usually have to do this when you use one of the wallpaper textures, to make it fit.

3. Not sure what you mean, when making the walls you just join them up, or move one of them next to the other wall.

Also, download this file, It's screenshots of the xmodels you can use in your map[wink]

Many of the tutorials here and at THIS OTHER PLACE have just about all the info that you need. Try reading through them and then if you need more help then just ask. More people will help if if looks like you have tried stuff first.
