Is there a way to make a spotlight in CoD2? I watched the tutorial for making a spotlight in CoD, but when I attempted to transfer the methods over to CoD2 it didn't work. What are the procedures for making a spotlight...is it just a model and then a light connected to an info_null. Does the info_null have to be in any special spot. What s the key to connect the light and info null? I used W and it seemed to work, but it didn't after I compiled.

Should work the same. And the connect key in CoD2 Radiant is the W key..
Make sure the map compiled correctly, maybe the problem is in your flare somewhere.

And have a look into the documentation which comes with the tools
There you'll find a documentation about lights/spotlights

I looked at the documentation and the map is compiling fine..could it be becuase I'm doing a fast compile?

Ok I did a test of this...I made a small room with a wall seperating two sides. I made one side with a light that is somewhat blue in color, witha radius of 64 and connected it to an info_null with the W key. On the other side I made a similar setup but the radius was twice as large and the color was white. I compiled the map and it was completely dark. I made a very small light near my spawn point and upon compile it is the only light in the room that works.

If it was totally dark (apart from lights), on your test you did it would suggest no worldspawn settings.

It is a single god damn room...closed...the only light is the lights i put in...keep up would ya. I apologize for being so short, but nobody is giving me anything to work with here...I've already made maps before, just never tried a spotlight and apparently this simple technique of creating a light and an info null and connecting them doesn't do jack...I'm trying to see if anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong...unless I'm mistaken, in a closed room you don't require worldspawn settings as there is no ambient light anyways.
