Where can I find maya 6? I have installed the COD2 Mod Tools with Radiant and everything but I cant find maya6. I want to make/edit some models for my map.

Maya 6 is a professional 3D modelling program made by Alias. The full program costs upwards of 600 dollars if I remember correctly. If you are a student you may be able to get maya for under 300. Do some research ;)

Is there any other program that will also allow cod2-modelling which is free or at least cheaper. I live in south africa and our currency rate is about R8 for 1$ (adds up at about R2400)!

MilkShape 3D used to work for CoD1 and CoDUO, might work for CoD2, I never tried.

There's a trial for it that lasts 30 days, then it costs something like $30 USD.

You won't find Maya 6 anywhere legally (or the other way), it's way too old already in the graphics/animation world.

The export plugins ar only for for Maya 6 (which mean, they don't work with any other version of Maya) and there aren't any other export plugins for other 3D modeling programs available.
So you need Maya 6 to make your own models.

It would be nice if I could find something to make a converter or something to create models for COD2 without paying so much.

Is there a way to find out if a software place has a legal copy of maya or not? I saw a site with maya 6.0 but afraid to try it.


Another idea. If a draw a model in Milkshape, can someone bring it into Maya 6.0 and convert it for me?

{UN} united noobs used have maya 6 avaiable for download on theyr site.I got my maya 6 CG then i find the hacked file to replace in bin folder and now works with different maya 6 (cg). what i could do is make u a rar and upload it to my site with the plug in for it. just let me know if u cant find it my xfire is jbwyatt

It just doesn't sound right. I have puchased many things at places like surplussoftware or other vendors at a very low price. Of course you get no tech support, no updated drivers and such, but the software worked and I later got a newer version.

I know this is a bit late, but Maya 6, as mentioned somewhere above, is old news. I got maya about a year ago and it was version 8. I'm pretty sure they've gone beyond even that by now, so I'm not surprised that Maya 6 has been marked down so much. Sorry, I should have mentioned that.
