Hey there!
Love the Site BTW. Just wondering if anyone knew a way to
use the Hammer editor with Vampire the Masqurade - Bloodlines? Since it uses the same engin, figured it might be possable.
I'm new to the HL2 mapping, but I've been Mapping Doom3 for awhile. Thanks

From what I found online, Vampire-Bloodlines Source is not available for download yet and I can't find the homepage.

Anyway, since it is a HL2 modification, then yes, you can mod it further if you wish. What did you have in mind? mapping, coding, modeling, ???

Kewel. I was just thinking about mapping mostly
Maybe even a full mod.
(would love to make a ShadowRun RPG mod)
But I'm still learning.
getting use to the differences from D3's editor &
Hammer. Still can't figure how to make circles
from brushes either. Also was wondering if
it's possable to make bumpmap textures for Hammer,
like with the D3 editor & photoshop?

Thanks

circles? no such thing. You can model them or make a patch mesh and bend it (I think you can in hammer).

bump maps are normal maps in HL2. you have diffuse (color), specular (shine) and bump (normal map). Then tie it all together with a material file (vmf).

Ahh Shweet. do you use "textname_local.tga" for the bump?
and "_d"," _s" for the diff & spec? also is an editor one "_ed" needed too?
Sucks that You can't alter the brushs like in Doom3
(ie able to choose # of sides of brush, or make a cone, or sphere) guess I'll have to use other software and import it to hammer.
Btw do You know if DeleD 3d editor is compatable with hammer? It's alot cheeper than 3dsMax/Maya, and is pretty good.

Thanks
