Another great and amusing episode with a great stalker narrative.

While Foyleman moved to the PS3, I moved to Xbox360. I considered the PS3 but as it was almost double the price and the fact we had 20 odd games from previous xbox, it was a forgone conclusion we went for the 360.

I've for one have never enjoyed using the playstation controllers. They never really upgraded the controller in my opinion. As for games, I must admit I do like the motostorm but with the mention of GTIV being release on Xbox360, the PS3 was a no go. Not even Bluray could sway my decision.

What also made the decision, my gaming/mapping PC is incapacitated at the moment as it awaits a replacement motherboard. Gotta get that game fix somewhere!

With COD3 being console only - I want to play it. Also, over half the games from the origonal xbox work fine in 360. Funny thing is, the 360 took 5 attempts to get it operational when we first turned it on. Once on, I configured xbox live, downloaded console updates. Its behaved itself fine since.

Xbox live and Gears of war was brought up this episode. Well I've been playing though gears of war (sp) and am thoroughly enjoying it. Now that I've hooked up on xbox life, I thought I'd give the multiplayer aspect a go. Being third person view makes for an interesting experience, quite different from normal FPS. Its stil fun and exhilerating all at the same. I cant say it will captivate me in the same way that COD2 does.

Xbox live demos. Today I went and selected a bunch of demos to download. They vary in size from 200MB to 1.5GB. So the downloads do take awhile in some instances but it also hinges on what internet plan you are on.

First demo is around 500MB and has taken about 4 hrs to download - Not much different to a PC - as that is about what it would take for me normally. My internet is restricted to to the distance I am from local exchange.

The unreal3 engine I have to say is pretty damn fine. What I am looking forward to now the EA's Airbourne Assault (if they don't stuff it up). There are going to be some fantastic WW2 environments and I reacon is gonna be amazing to map in. I am really impressed with the environments they have created. I've just been though the underground caverns, I hate to think how long it took them to create these environments. Its great to be able to appreciate good mapping skills when you see them.

Anyone know of a list of upcoming games using the Unreal3 engine?

Talking of engines. Be interesting to see where ID go with there next game.

Looking forward to April 28th - sounds like press release is a comming regarding COD franshise...heres hoping.

I had the benefit of getting those xbox 360 games out of my system because I had the xbox. With those games played and only Halo 3 in the horizon, I had a different decision to make when purchasing a new console. Therefore blue-ray made the next best decision.

Plus, I have a friend who has said I can borrow his 360 when I want it. So I have a backup for Halo 3.

I agree with going for the xbox your first time around. Although, I hope you purchased an extended warranty. I don't trust these new consoles to last past 1.5 years. I learned my lesson even though it pains me to hand out $$ for the extra warranty.

I'll tell you... that blue-ray sure is pretty. I can actually see an improvement in the video. However, if you don't have a hi-def television, then I wouldn't bother.
