I just have a question. What makes people do stuff like this? How totaly insane do you have to be to do that? Honestly.

You don't have to be insane at all, such as the Columbine guys. The media wants you to believe they were, but they weren't.

If you watched CNN way, way earlier today when this all happened... one of the step-fathers of a Columbine victim was speaking about how it was all covered up -- the Columbine shooters did some bullying themselves and made underground video tapes of themselves holding guns and saying they were going to shoot kids at school. Although the step-father didn't comment too much since he said everyone connected with Columbine has a gag-order.

He sounded pretty sure that everyone connected with today's events will get a gag-order too so the world may never know what was the real motive for today.

My girlfriend's brother goes to Viriginia Tech. He's usually in that Engineering building but he changed his field of study recently so he doesn't have classes in it. She called my shortly in the morning crying telling me about it.

My condolences and prayers go out to everyone and anyone affected by today's events.

This just pisses me off, why do people have to do stuff like this? At the University of Utah, were my sister goes to, it is leagle to carry handguns with a conselled permint on campus. And because of that, it is probably the safest campus in the country. We should have people carry (with a licence) in collages, if there were people carring to day in virgina, i can garuntee you that he would not have been ably to kill all the people that he did. The right to own guns come with responsabilities, some people say to out law guns. This wouldn't work for two reasons, one i would say NO at 2000 feet per second, and two, it wouldn't prevent crinamals from owning guns. we should use texas as an example 1 in 4 people are carring, thats why no one robs the rich grandma down the streat, because she will blow there head off with a desert eagle she keeps in her purse, along with her alzimer pills.

Just because they carry handguns doesn't make it the safest place. I don't think many people have what it takes to kill someone point-blank with a gun.

People at VT didn't have what it took to take down the shooter. Someone at the first press conference asked if anyone resisted against the shooter and the room went quiet and the person then commented, "If I was going down, I would have at least tried to have taken down the guy and not go down without a fight."

From what witnesses said, the shooter peaked into rooms, then walked in five feet and began shooting. No one in the hall or other rooms didn't think of taking him down from behind when he was vulnerable to attack.

Sry sparks, some of your details are wrong. there were numorous professors who died attempting to stop the gunman. one survived the holucost, and the USSR, he baracaded the door with his body and was shot to death while his students jumped out the window and escaped. Another was upstairs and came down to help, and was shot down.
