I have searched the forums and haven't found anything on this subject. The problem is when I make a sky on my map and compile it there are lines in my sky and it's driving me crazy what am i doing wrong ?

You need to upload your image to a site such as photobucket.com or imagecrap [lol] real name > imageshack.us. Once your image is is uploaded hotlink it back to here with one of the links provided after you've uploaded the image to the host site.

I have seen this happen before in my cod2 maps. What I do now is I make my skybox completely, all sides, with the sky texture then I go outside the box and just select the actual 6 outside surfaces and make them caulk.

What I think is happening to you is that you are just putting the sky texture on the inside of the skybox which I assume you built with caulk and then the caulk lines along the inside seams are showing through to the inside.

Are you using the actual textures or the blue shaders? If you're using the actual textures that's your problem. Use the shaders instead. They're those blue textures with the name of the sky. They apply the textures automatically and seamlessly.
