Nasty web gremlins - always get you when you least expect it

Now this is something I've been meaning to say for ages. You've always stated that you did not enjoy king kong!? Well, I have to say, this had to be the most played game on our xbox as my 4 (then 3 yr old, over a year ago when we got it) loves king kong. In fact I hadn't even seen the movie and my boy played the demo on an xbox in a store and he kept asking to play it. So we hired it thinking that would be the end of it, but no, he wanting to play it again. So we hired it again...we ended up buying it. We even had to buy the movie, I don't know of any 3 year olds that would sit through a 3 1/2 hr movie?! My boys does - Go figure!

Now between my son and myself we have finished King King 6 or 7 times. All I can say is it IS a good game.

One friday I came home from work, the Boy had deleted the save games just so I would have to play it with him. So over the course of weekend we played it and had it clocked by Sunday again!!!

I now know the game pretty much from begining to end.

For an FPS you do have to be conservative with ammo for desperate situations and utilise the spears to your advantage. Where theres fire, it helps kills things quicker.

Bottom line is. I was surprised I enjoyed it so much and I have spent alot of time playing it (as you can tell). Currently our Xbox DVD is broke and hadn't got around to replacing yet. So I bought the PC version cheap, they were practically giving them away. After playing it so much on the xbox, the style of gameplay actually makes it difficult to play on PC. The PC version you find texture glitches, model inconsistencies everywhere. I actually found a couple of glitches in the xbox version...but whos counting!??

The biggest thing. From a mapping perspective. I have to respect King Kong level designers. To me they got the feel of the island spot on...and it does extend on the story!? it must have been very time consuming. I think everything is practically made out of meshes.

So if you didn't finish it, persivere. In the end it is rewarding.

Anyway, thats my 2 cents worth regarding King Kong.

Yes, Talking about DOOM the Movie. I saw it, I didn't like it that much. Too Dark, Not much action etc.. I've never played the game but now I understand it. Oh yes, Im going to get this game; Its Awesome... -bottom of page- Must have Vista with DX10
