Hello! The new single player map entitled Stalingrad is now available for download on modsonline. You can get it here

Hope you guys enjoy it just as much as Leningrad. Comments are welcome. The readme file is in the .iwd file.

p.s. due to a strange bug, there is a leak in radiant that couldnt be fixed. This forced us to compile the map in fast lighting instead of extra. Hopefully it will not steer you away from the gameplay experience.

Hi this sp map was alright

All of script errors the whole way though playing though.

at the part were u have to take out the snipers to cross the gaps u should give them all markers as you have to make ur self a target to spot them. then on the part were you have to shoot the officers the fog is so thick u can barely see the windows never mind spoting the officers. took me at least 10 min to finish that bit.

and it wasnt very dx9 likeing :( i was playing full dx9 and it was just dx7 gameplay.

but all in all it was a good mission i liked it. get some of them things fixed and i will love it.

Hi, thanks for the comments. I figured it wouldn't be dx9 friendly since we couldn't compile with extra lighting. As for the officers, they are hard to spot, however the voices and the objectives clearly say where they are...for jumping the gaps, it would have been too easy to tell you where the snipers were...it's more fun to spot them...however, i would like to know what the script errors u encountered were so i can know what not to do next time...

Just got home from work and as I downloaded it this morning thought I'd give it a bash, very nice map indeed, very brave to choose a different style of gameplay other than the usual "run and gun" and it works great.

Only 2 problems i've found so far (i have the game running now) 1 was I shot all the snipers jumped up and down .. ran side to side etc and the last sniper just wouldnt show himself.. but a quick re-load to last save sorted it, 2nd is what I'm stuck on now, I can see the Red building on the Left... but where the hell is the officer? The obj marker seems to point at the grey buildings... or are they grey? Seems to be a bit much smoke, tried turning it to dx7 soften smoke eges off etc but I still cant spot the bugger!

Very nice map all and all though very well done [thumbs_up]

loll techno, he's there but like a good sniper you have to spot the windows and wait until you see him... he's walking inside the room ;)

lol nah i found the problem - i could see his weapon just inside a window - he must of got stuck and not being a good enough sniper to kill someone by shooting the muzzle of their gun I had to restart lol

Worked on the restart but now i'm on the "officer in the grey building"... erm lol ok.. if hes walking between windows then i'd have to be very lucky to see him.. is he on a certain floor? like the previous one?

thank you for the comments guys, its a shame the last sniping objectives is hard...so heres the spoiler:

the major is in the red building on the left, hes on the 2nd floor and walks in front of all the windows

the lieutenant is in the grey building, first floor, starts on the left and walks past 3 windows then comes back in a loop

final officer is also in the grey building, 3rd floor and he stops walking in front of the last window on the right..u can get a clear shot there once your ally is done is voice.
